Par Tha

 
I am Par Tha Khun Sung. I was born and raised in a small village until the age of 11, when my parents sent me to Pastor Hung Ling’s Orphanage Home in Yangon so that I could receive a better education. Since then, I have grown up under his care and continue to serve alongside his ministry by teaching children and at Myanmar Bible College.

Raised in a devoted Christian family, I believed in God from an early age but did not have full assurance of my salvation until my second year of the M.Div. program. Through studying God's Word, seeking guidance from faithful ministers, and listening to biblical teaching, I came to understand that salvation is by God's grace through faith alone, not by good works.

Although I never planned to attend Bible college or enter ministry, God gradually led me to pursue theological education from 2014 to 2024, including both my B.Th. and M.Div. studies, with a one-year gap between the two programs. While I once resisted God's call because I knew the cost of following Christ, I have learned to submit to His will. My desire is not to be like Jonah but to faithfully obey God's calling wherever He leads. 

God has graciously entrusted me with the gift and passion for teaching. I have served as a Sunday School teacher, volunteered as a teacher in my home village for one year, and currently serve as a lecturer at Myanmar Bible College, where I seek to equip others through the faithful teaching of God's Word.

July 2026 Update:
 

First of all, I would like to express my grateful heart to God and to E4P Ministries for giving me the opportunity to partner together. I still have many things to learn, and I am enjoying every part of this ministry. In particular, whenever I talk with some of the applicants and learn about their situations, I hope and believe that God will use this ministry greatly to help many ministers who are suffering yet continuing to serve faithfully for the Kingdom of God.

On the other hand, as I am serving at Myanmar Bible College as a lecturer, girls' warden, and office assistant, I have been busy throughout the month. Nevertheless, I praise God because teaching is my passion. I truly enjoy helping, teaching, and guiding many young people in their spiritual lives, as I believe it is a blessing from God. Currently, I am mainly teaching English Grammar and the Synoptic Gospels. Whenever we have online classes taught by lecturers from other countries, I also serve as a translator.

Additionally, I have been communicating with the applicants and working together with them to complete their application forms correctly throughout the month. I feel grateful to read and translate their information from Burmese into English because, through their testimonies and ministry experiences, I continue to gain many new insights into their lives and ministries.

Unfortunately, I became sick for one week and was unable to eat, drink, or sleep properly. As a result, my condition affected my work negatively because I could not concentrate or carry out my responsibilities effectively. However, by the grace of God and through the prayer support of many believers, I have recently recovered and am now able to carry out all of my responsibilities as usual. I praise God for His faithfulness and healing.
